Round Of 16 Iowa High School Playoff Match Ups Out

The IHSAA is out with the round of 16 match ups in all classes of Iowa high school football.

In all classes the remaining 16 have been assigned to four Pods with four teams in each Pod to set the semifinals.

In Class 3A RPI and District Championships were used to set the final 16 after a 9 week regular season schedule. In Pod A MOC Floyd Valley will take a 6-3 record to 8-1 Harlan. The other game has Nevada (7-2) at  (5-4) Sioux Center who won the District 1 title.

After the first round of the playoffs for 8 player through 2A held Friday the 21st a number of area teams have made the sweet 16.

Class 2A Pod A
Clarinda (6-3) at Central Lyon George Little Rock (9-0)
West Lyon (7-2) at Greene County (8-1)

Spirit Lake was assigned to Pod B and will host Clear Lake. The other game in the Pod has OABCIG at Osage.

Western Christian (7-2) at Aplington Parkersburg (8-1)
Kuemper Catholic (8-1) at West Sioux (8-1)

Class A Pod A
Hinton (6-3) at Hartley Melvin Sanborn (7-2)
Gehlen Catholic (8-1) at Woodbury Central (9-0)

8 Player Pod A
West Bend Mallard (7-2) at Remsen St Mary’s (9-0)
GTRA (8-1) at West Harrison (9-0)
