Briar Rowley, of Estherville, has signed a letter of intent to continue his baseball career at Northwestern College beginning in the fall of 2019.
Rowley is a 5’11” outfielder and pitcher who has had a standout four-year career playing for Estherville Lincoln Central High School heading into his final season next summer. Rowley hit .457, scored a team-high 36 runs and led the Lakes Conference with 33 RBIs while leading his team to the class 2A state tournament. As a pitcher, Rowley went unbeaten (4-0) in six starts, boasting an impressive 0.99 earned run average with 49 strikeouts in 28.1 innings. He has earned first team all-Lakes conference four consecutive years and was named first team all-state last summer as a junior. Rowley received all-district honors three years and is an honor roll student who plans to major in sports management at Northwestern. He is the son of Travis and Amber.

He is an extremely competitive athlete who does everything well on a diamond.”said Coach Wede. “We are really excited for adding him to our team because of his obvious high level ability but also because of how he leads and how he works. We feel he is someone who will succeed at a high level on our campus and on our team.”
