Individual Game Results

Game 1–Boyden Hull-Rock Valley
The first game went to BHRV 14-6, while the Orabs outscored the Nighthawks in the extra two quarters played. The ORABs outscored the Nighthawks in the extra two quarters played, 6-0. Here are highlights from the afternoon:
1. Aiden Kavanagh scored on a “76-yard “pick six” interception.
2. Keegan Adkins scored from 15 yards out in the final two quarters
3. Jack Brink caught two passes for a total of 30 yards.
4. Derek Kruger led the defense with 4 tackles; Briggs Baack, Caleb Schwartz, and Levi Sietstra each added 3 tackles a piece.
5. Andyn Bucher “ate up” the BHRV offensive line, often meeting a Nighthawks running back in their backfield.

Game 2–South O’Brien
The ORABS defeated the South O’Brien Wolverines yesterday afternoon at Paullina. The ORABS won 8-6, and they outscored the Wolverines in the extra two quarters played, 14-0. Here are highlights from the afternoon:
1. Jonathan Martinez ran for 74 yards and a touchdown.
2. Briggs Baack scored on a two yard TD run; Derek Kruger added a 2 point PAT.
3. Keegan Adkins scored a touchdown and a PAT.
4. Jaxon Hegenbarth ran for over 30 yards, including a 20-yard run.
5. Briggs Baack led all tacklers with 6, while Trey Lindemann and Jonathon were each in on 4 tackles and Aiden Kavanagh was in on 3 tackles.
6. Gavin Van Holland and Keegan Adkins each recovered a fumble..

Game 3–Cherokee
The ORABs defeated Cherokee on their home turf, 14-6. It was truly a team effort, with many players contributing–both on and off the stat sheet–to the team victory. Here are highlights from the afternoon:
1. Derek Kruger ran for 58 yards and scored a TD on a kick return.
2. Jaxon Hegenbarth ran for 21 yards, and Briggs Baack ran for 16 yards, also scoring a TD.
3. Levi Sietstra led all tacklers with 7, and he also recovered a fumble.
4. Andyn Bucher again “ate up” the opposing offensive line, often tackling their running back in their backfield, totaling 6 tackles for the afternoon.
5. Briggs Baack was in on 6 tackles, and Johnathon Martinez added 4.
6. Khason Meendering also intercepted a pass in the second half, halting a Cherokee Brave offensive drive.
7. Jonathan Martinez tackled the Cherokee QB in the endzone for our team’s first safety of the season.

Game 4–Sibley-Ocheyedan
The ORABs defeated the Generals on our home turf, 20-0. It was another team effort, again, with many players contributing on and off the stat sheet to the team victory. Here are highlights from the afternoon:
1. Jonathan Martinez led all rushers with 55 yards and Jaxon Hegenbarth ran for 20 yards.
2. Derek Kruger, Briggs Baack, and Aiden Kavanagh all scored TD’s, and Briggs also scored a PAT.
3. Jonathan Martinez led all tacklers with 8 tackles, and Briggs had 6 tackles.
4. Levi Sietstra had 4 tackles, and Andyn Bucher and Kaden Gonzalez each were in on 3 tackles.
5. Andyn also recovered a fumble, which was caused by Johnathon Martinez.

Game 5–MOC-FV
The 7th grade football team traveled to Orange City and played MOC-FV. The Orabs dropped the first contest to the Dutchmen, 14-0. The Dutchmen also outscored the ORABs, 14-0, in the extra two quarters played that afternoon. Here are highlights from the afternoon:
1. Aiden Kavanagh led all rushers on the afternoon with 27 yards, including a team-high long run of 15 yards.
2. Jaxon Hegenbarth ran an end around reverse to perfection for 40 yards and a TD, HOWEVER, the play was called back due to a penalty.
3. Jonathan Martinez and Andyn Bucher led all tacklers with 5 tackles each.
4 Jaxon Hegenbarth and Caleb Schwartz each recovered a fumble.
5. Trey Lindemann and Derek Kruger each intercepted passes; Derek Kruger returned his interception 36 yards before being tackled.

Game 6–Sioux Center
The 7th grade football team played their final game of the season at Orab Field. The Orabs dropped the first contest to the Warriors, by a score of 6-0, as the Warriors scored on a passing play in the final two minutes of the game. The Orabs outscored Sioux Center, 14-0, in the extra two quarters played yesterday afternoon. Here are highlights from the afternoon:
1. Jaxon Hegenbarth and Kamron Kleinhesselink led all rushers on the afternoon with 27 yards each.
2. Levi Sietstra and Keegan Adkins each scored TD’s and Jaxon Hegenbarth added a PAT.
3. Jaxon Hegenbarth had the longest run of the afternoon–20 yards–while Aiden Kavanagh and Kamron Kleinhesselink each had runs of 18 and 17 yards, respectively.
4. Aiden Kavanagh completed two passes, both to Kaden Gonzalez.
5. On defense, Jaxon Hegenbarth and Jonathon Martinez led all tacklers with 6 tackles each.
6. Andyn Bucher had 5 tackles on the afternoon, Edwin Topete had four tackles, and Kevin Bautista, Karston Andringa, and Kamron Kleinhesselink each had three tackles.
7. Parker Peelen recovered a fumble.
