Sioux City, Iowa – A Sheldon native and former standout at MOC-Floyd Valley as been named as a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Player-of-the-Week as announced by the GPAC Tuesday, November 18th.
Jesse Van Kalsbeek of Northwestern College is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men’s basketball offensive player-of-the-week. Van Kalsbeek, a sophomore from Sheldon, scored 42.5 points per game in a 1-1 week for Northwestern.
He had double-doubles in both outings, posting 47 points and 14 rebounds in Tuesday’s win over William Penn, and contributing 38 points and 15 boards in Saturday’s road loss at Doane.
