Sioux City, Iowa – A Sheldon native has earned Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week honors as announced by the GPAC Tuesday, November 11th.
Jesse Van Kalsbeek of Northwestern College is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men’s basketball defensive player-of-the-week. The sophomore from Sheldon notched his fifth double-double in as many games, putting up 22 points and 14 rebounds in Northwestern’s win over Viterbo.
Of his rebounds 11 came on the defensive glass. On the year Van Kalsbeek is averaging 31.0 points and 12.4 rebounds.
