Sioux City, Iowa — Sheldon Orab Payten Lode has announced her intent to continue her volleyball career with Morningside.
Lode, a 5’9″ outside hitter for the Orabs, played in all 33 matches her senior year and earned second team All-State, first team all district, and first team all-conference honors en-route to an Orab state volleyball tournament berth. On the season, Lode lead Orabs in kills with 353, was second on the team in digs with 175, and had a serve efficiency of 83.5%. As a junior, Lode also earned all-district and all-conference honors.
A multi-sport athlete, Lode also earned first team all-district and all-conference softball honors this past summer, and finished 14th in the discus at the state track and field meet meet last May.
