Northwest Iowa — Girls Regional final softball took center stage on Monday. It was the final stop before the State Tournament in Fort Dodge running Monday July 22nd through Friday the 26th.

#8 seed Gehlen Catholic (21-9) will open State Tournament play against #1 seed Collins-Maxwell (25-1) Monday, July 22 – 11:00 a.m

#6 seed Alta-Aurelia (20-9) opens State against #3 seed Central Springs (28-7) Monday, July 22 – 5:30 p.m.
Class 3A Region 2
Algona 8, Spirit Lake 3
#8 seed Algona (17-10) opens State against #1 seed Davenport Assumption (38-2) Monday, July 22 – 7:00 p.m.
Class 4A region finals will be on Tuesday
