The Iowa State individual wrestling tournament opened Thursday morning at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. One again a large contingent of area wrestlers have earned their way to the state tournament.
The tournament began with Class 2A wrestling in the morning session from 9:00 till noon. The opening session included the first round and first round of consolations.

Wrestling will continue Friday and Saturday. Saturday morning it’s the consolation semis and finals in all classes running from 10:00 am until 2:15. IWCOA, IHHSDA and IHSAA awards are set for 5:45. At 6:00 pm it’s the Grand March followed by the finals in all classes.
