Wednesday marked day one of the Iowa State Wrestling Tournament in Des Moines. Action got underway at 9:00 this morning with the opening session running through 12:30 pm. The First wrestlers on the mat were Class 3A for the 1st and second rounds and the 1st round of consolation.
Session 2 from 1:30 to 5:00 pm will be the 1st and 2nd round and the 1st round of consolations for Class 1A. Session 3 runs from 6:00 to 9:30 pm. Its the 1st and 2nd round and the 1st round of consolations for Class 2A.
This years tournament will have a four day run finishing with Awards presentations from the IWCOA, IHSADA and IHSAA followed by the Grand March and the Finals in all three classes.
