Saturday marked the final day of the expanded Iowa State Wrestling Tournament. Two Area wrestlers won state titles in Class 1A including Cael Morrow of Akron Westfield at 113 and Mikey Baker of West Sioux at 145. Jarrett Roos of Sheldon South O’Brien finished third at 182 in Class 2A.
This years tournament opened Wednesday morning for a four day run at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Each of the three classes featured 24 wrestlers in each weight class this year as opposed to the field of 16 in each bracket last year. The increase in individuals resulted in the need for expansion to a four day event.

182 Jarrett Roos of Sheldon South O’Brien finished 3rd with a fall in 1:01. Jace Mulder of Boyden Hull Rock Valley finished 5th

126 Ethan Sachau of Hinton finished 8th
145 Mikey Baker of West Sioux is a State Champion winning a 5-2 decision
