Sioux City, Iowa — Matthew Van Eps led the Dordt Men’s efforts at the Sioux City Relays with a first place finish in the 800 meters and he anchored the 4×400 team of himself, Micah Brands, Payton Mauldin and Cole Zevenbergen to a winning time of 3:16.08. Dordt Women’s top finishes included three athletes finishing in the top-eight of the 800 meters and Emma Bakker’s win in the 400 meters. The 4×400 team of Anmarie Stuit, Emma Bakker, Annika Rick, Mika Kooistra also claimed first place on a day when temps were in he 40s and winds were calm.
Dordt will send athletes to a meet hosted by the University of South Dakota on Tuesday and the Drake Relays from April 22-24.
