Stuit To Run For Defenders

Anmarie Stuit, a senior at Unity Christian High School, has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender track and field program.

Stuit qualified for the state meet in the 400 hurdles twice and finished fifth in Class 2A last season. She also ran on a fifth place finishing distance medley team last season and a 4×400 team that finished 10th. Her personal best in the 400 hurdles is 66.7.

“Anmarie will be a great addition to our sprints and hurdles. She has great athletic ability and will be able to help us in relays as well as making an immediate impact in the 400 hurdles. Anmarie will bring positive leadership to our team, and she has a great work ethic. We are looking forward to working with her!” said Dordt College track and field coach Craig Heynen.

Anmarie is the daughter of Brent and Barb Stuit of Hospers, Iowa. She plans to study Education at Dordt College.
