The Iowa State Men take on New Hampshire Sunday

Iowa State closes the non-conference portion of the schedule Sunday, facing New Hampshire in the final game of 2023.

The Cyclones have won 25-straight games against non-conference foes at Hilton Coliseum.

KEY STORYLINES
1. Prior to a break for Christmas, Iowa State beat Eastern Illinois 80-48. The win improved ISU to 5-0 in the month of December, scoring at least 80 points in every game this month. The Cyclones have scored 80-plus points in five-straight games for the first time since doing so in six-straight games in 2018.
2. The Cyclones beat Florida A&M 96-58 on Dec. 17. It was the fourth-straight win in December, scoring over 90 points in all four games. It is just the third time in program history ISU has scored 90-plus points in four or more games in a row.
3. Iowa State defeated Prairie View A&M 107-56 Dec. 10 before taking the week off for finals. The 107 points is the most ISU has scored in the T.J. Otzelberger era.
4. Iowa State is 21-1 under Otz when four or more players score in double figures.
5. The six highest scoring Cyclone outputs under Otzelberger have all come this season, including a pair of 100 point performances.
6. The Cyclones have scored 90 or more points six times this season. It is the most times hitting that mark in a season since the 2016-17 team did so eight times.
7. Tamin Lipsey, a unanimous Big 12 All- Freshman Team selection last year, is averaging 15.5 points, 6.1 assists and 6.0 rebounds this year. He is the only player in America averaging those numbers this season and one of just eight in the last 28 years to do so. Lipsey earned ESPN Events Invitational All-Tournament honors during Feast Week and turned in the seventh triple-double in school history against
DePaul on Dec. 1. Against Prairie View A&M, he broke the school record for steals in a game with eight.
8. Keshon Gilbert was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week Dec. 11 after scoring 20-plus points in both games.
9. ISU’s 26-straight victories at home against non-conference opponents is the 12th-longest active streak in the nation. It is the fourth-longest streak in school history.
10. Under Otz, ISU is 34-7 against non-con opponents. The 34 wins are tied for the ninth-most in the nation and the .829 winning percentage is the eighth-best.
11. Milan Momcilovic is one of four Cyclones averaging double figure scoring. He is one of nine true freshmen in the nation averaging at least 2.2 3-pointers per game.
