Big Ten basketball fans will converge on the Twin Cities during the next two weeks. Meet Minneapolis CEO Melvin Tennant says the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament started Wednesday, March 6th, at Target Center and is sold out for the first time because of NCAA all-time scoring leader Caitlin Clark.
An estimated 109 thousand fans are expected for the women’s tourney and the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament is at Target Center next week.
The third ranked Hawkeye women open Friday night against the winner of Thursday’s game between Penn State and Wisconsin.
