Two Dordt Defenders Earn GPAC Softball Player-of-the-Week Honors

Sioux City, Iowa – Two Dordt University softball players have been named as Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Softball Players-of-the-Week as announced by the GPAC Tuesday, March 24th.

Chloe Kreuz is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports softball player-of-the-week.  Kreuz, a sophomore from Rutherfordton, North Carolina, hit .643 in four wins for the Defenders last week.  She totaled nine hits, seven of them going for extra bases, including three homeruns.

In all she drove in 11 runs and scored six times.

Rylee Yager of Dordt University is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week.  Yager, a freshman from Estherville, Iowa, gave up just a pair of hits on the week. She struck out 15 hitters in two five-inning decisions.

She is 11-4 this season and 2-0 in league play.
