Senior center Jacob Hutson scored a season high 26 points as UNI closed its home schedule with a 74-52 win over Illinois-Chicago. Hutson finished four-of-seven from 3-point range.
After leading by 19 in the opening half the Panthers fought off an Illinois-Chicago rally that saw them climb to within seven in the second half.
It was also the final home game for senior forward Tytan Anderson, who scored 14 points as the Panthers clinchied a 20 win season.
The Panthers close the regular season Sunday at Bradley. The winner claims secod place in the Valley.
