Cedar Falls, Iowa — A tough stretch begins this week for the UNI Panthers.
Ranked 12th in the FCS Coaches poll the Panthers get set to visit fifth ranked North Dakota State.
That’s junior linebacker Spencer Cuvelier who was named the Missouri Valley Defensive Player of the Week after making 17 tackles in a win over Youngstown State. He is one of the leaders of a Panther defense that is giving up just over 10 points per game.
UNI quarterback Theo Day says the Panther receivers and running backs have been a major factor in their success as they get ready to visit fifth ranked North Dakota State. The Michigan Sate transfer has led the Panthers to three straight victories.
Day says he has learned quickly how important the series with North Dakota State is.
Day says each game is helping him settle in as the starter.
