The Red Raider wrestling program added Chris Van Der Brink of Rock Valley to the squad.
Christopher is a four-time letter winner while at Rock Valley Community High School. He was 120-46 in his career and went 44-5 his senior year. Van Der Brink was a 5th place finisher at state his senior year and tallied 27 pins in his last season. He has 86 career pins over his four years. Christopher was also a district qualifier in 2018 and 2020 and was 1st Team All-Conference in 2019 and 2020. He also earned Academic All-Conference honors his senior year.
Coach Dahl on Van Der Brink, “We have been working on Van Der Brink for some time. The son of 96′ Red Raider, Scott Van Der Brink, we look forward to seeing how this athletic big man can fir with our roster. He has incredible balance for someone his size and he loves to go big. The next four years will be pretty exciting.”
