Mitchel Van Regenmorter, a senior at MOC Floyd Valley High School, has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football program.
Van Regenmorter was an offensive and defensive lineman for the Dutch and earned first-team all-district honors while helping to pave the way for a team that ran for 1,760 yards and averaged 4.8 yards per rushing attempt. On defense he had 12 tackles with 1.5 sacks and two tackles for loss. He was picked as his team’s most valuable lineman and was a three-year letter winner. Van Regenmorter is listed 6-1, 250 pounds.
“Mitchel was a high priority recruit for us this year. He is a guy we are very familiar with and are excited that he has chosen Dordt College. He has the potential to become a very good interior offensive lineman and possesses several leadership traits that I believe will impact our program tremendously,” said Dordt College football coach Joel Penner.
Mitchel is the son of Brad and Linda Van Regenmorter of Maurice, Iowa. He plans to study Animal Science-Genetics at Dordt College.
