Van Sloten To Run For NWC

Northwestern College logoOrange City, Iowa —Justine Van Sloten (Maurice, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her track and field career at Northwestern College next year.

Van Sloten is a 5’6” sprinter and hurdler who ran four years for Unity Christian High School. Van Sloten has personal bests of 16.09 in the 100m hurdles, 13 in the 100m, 28.28 in the 200m and 74.3 in the 400m hurdles. An honor roll student, Van Sloten plans to major in elementary education and special education at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Cory and Arla.

“We are happy to have Justine join our women’s hurdle crew next year,” commented head coach Scott Bahrke. “She has great work ethic and will continue to improve over the course of her career at Northwestern College.”
