Sioux Center, Iowa — Yaniro Bueso, a senior at West Sioux High School, has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender dance and cheer programs.
“We are so thrilled to have Yanira joining us at Dordt and on both our dance and cheer teams next year! She is a very motivated and hard working athlete with a passion for helping others. We are excited to see what she will all accomplish during her time here at Dordt!” said Knobloch.
Bueso earned D1 at state dance each year she has competed.
“I chose to commit because it’s where I felt most at home. I can tell I’m going to be more than just another student here, especially to the coaches. I’m excited to continue my dance and cheer career here!” said Bueso.
Yanira is the daughter of Sandra and Carlos Bueso of Hawarden, Iowa. She plans to study psychology at Dordt.
