Western Christian Football Looks To Return To The Playoffs

Hull, Iowa — After missing the the playoffs for the first time since the 2011 season, the Western Christian Wolfpack football team is looking to get back to playoff form.

Head Coach Travis Kooima talks about how the Wolfpack have utilized the offseason.

Kooima talks about what players have taken over the leadership role.

Tyson Boer is starting at quarterback for the Wolfpack this season. Boer has put in the time preparing for this year.

Kooima breaks down the big men in the trenches on both sides of the ball.

Back in at running back is Carson Elbers. Elbers ran for 441 yards last year, and Kooima tells us how he has improved coming into this year.

According to Kooima, the wide receiver corps has a great competition this preseason.

Kooima gives high praise to kicker Kobi Baccam, the last remaining member of the 2016 championship team.

Western’s week 1 opponent is MOC-Floyd Valley and Kooima talks about the matchup.

Western plays host to the Dutch on Friday, August 30th at 7:00 pm at A.R. Hesla Field in Hull.
