Northwest Iowa — The Class 1A District 2 All-District football team has been released. District Champion Western Christian landed six players on the first team with quarterback Tyson Kooima named the district’s offensive MVP. Western head coach Travis Kooima was named district coach of the year. The defensive player of the year was Daniel Bishop of Hinton.
Hinton placed six players on the first team. Ridge View and West Lyon had five each. Unity put three players on the first team, Sibley Ocheyedan two and Hartley Melvin Sanborn had one first teamer.
