Hull, Iowa — The Western Christian Wolfpack avenged last years State Championship loss to Unity by defeating the Knights 75-47 in Hull on Tuesday night in a Class 2A Region 1 quarterfinal.
Western Christian caught fire from beyond the arc early hitting 4 three-point shots. Heading into the 2nd quarter it was 20-8 Wolfpack. The Wolfpack continued their long distance dedication with another 4 three-pointers and extended their lead to 39-18 heading into halftime. Western jumped out with a quick 9-0 run, and after 3 it was 54-27 Wolfpack, and Western went on to win 75-47.
Western Christian’s leading scorer was Erica Bousema with 17 points, and 3 other players had 12 points each.
The Knights got a game high 21 points from Jori Bronner.
Western improves to 20-2 on the year and plays North Union at Western on Friday, February 17th. Unity end their year at 16-7.
