Western’s Kyson Van Vugt Commits To South Dakota

Vermillion, South Dakota — Western Christian Defensive End Kyson Van Vugt has announced that he will continue his football career at the University of South Dakota.

Van Vugt announced his commitment on Sunday via Twitter saying, “Blessed to announce that I have committed to The University of South Dakota to continue my athletic and academic career. I would like to thank God, my coaches, my teammates, my family and friends for helping me along the way! Can’t wait for what’s next”

The 6’7″ 235 lbs defensive end is a multi-sport athlete, playing basketball where he helped Western Christian to a state championship, a thrower for the Wolfpack track and field team, where he qualified for state in the discus, and started 21 games this past baseball season for Western Christian.
