Hull, Iowa — Western Christian’s Kyson Van Vugt will be a preferred walk on for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
The 6’7″ 235 pound defensive lineman/tight end helped the Wolfpack to a playoff berth and led the team in tackles for a loss with 6. He had 23.5 tackles on the season, 23 of them solo, along with 3 sacks. Offensively, Kyson had 30 receptions for 409 yards with two scores and a long of 79.
Van Vugt is a multisport athlete and was apart of the Wolfpack 2A 2021 State basketball championship team.
