Wolfpack win at the Pentagon Classic

Sioux Falls South Dakota — Western Christian downed The Blake School School from Minneapolis 52-33 Saturday afternoon as part of the Edith Sanford Girls Basketball Classic at the Pentagon in Sioux Falls.

The Wolfpack used a 10-2 run to start the second half and with a barrage of threes turned a 16-16 halftime tie into a 34-26 third quarter lead. The offensive spark rolled over to the fourth quarter  and The Wolfpack had the win 52-33.

Emma Bousema led the offense with 12 points. She was joined in double figures by Abby Postma with 11. Cate Moe was the lone Bear in double figures with a game high 15 points. Bousema, Makenna Kooima, Olivia Granstra and Alley Postma were responsible for the third quarter threes with Granstra’s coming as the buzzer sounded.

With the win Western Christian is 2-4 on the season and will return to the floor Tuesday night as they host Storm Lake in a girls/boys basketball double header.
