Samuel Gregory Heyn was born in April 2003 and has put smiles on faces at KIWA since November 2025.
He grew up and currently lives in Sanborn, graduating from Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn in 2021. He later went to the University of Iowa for Journalism, Mass Communications, and Sports Media. During his four years of trouble, he worked for The Daily Iowan TV in Iowa City and Iowa’s News Now in Cedar Rapids. Sam also provided Wisconsin high school sports coverage for High School on SI, a Sports Illustrated website channel powered by Scorebook Live.
Outside the studio, Sam runs a growing TikTok page where he creates short sports video montages. His videos blend athletes, trending TikTok audios, and video production tools to entertain thousands to millions of sports fans. In the summertime you’ll most likely find Sam trying to fit in 27 holes on the golf course or hanging out with his pals. When it gets cold, there’s a good chance you find him at Kinnick Stadium wearing black and gold or at home watching the Minnesota Vikings or the Oklahoma City Thunder.
