Northwestern, Dordt Receive Votes In NAIA Men’s Basketball Preseason Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In the first poll of merged divisions, perennial NAIA Division I powerhouse Georgetown (Ky.) garnered 12 of the 21 first-place votes to begin the season on top in the preseason edition released on Wednesday. Mid-America Christian and Indiana Wesleyan followed close behind at Nos. 2 and 3 while William Penn (Iowa) and Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) rounded-out the top five. Read more

Dordt Tops Women’s GPAC Preseason Basketball Poll

(Sioux City, Iowa) – Dordt University totaled 131 points in the preseason coaches’ poll and is picked to win the 2020-21 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Basketball Championship.  The Defenders tallied just six of the possible twelve first place votes while Concordia was picked second with 110 points and five first place votes.  Morningside was tabbed third with 105 points and one first place vote in the balloting. Preseason GPAC Men’s Basketball Poll

(Sioux City, Iowa) – Morningside totaled 96 points and is the preseason coaches’ selection to win the 2020-21 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Basketball Championship.  The Mustangs tallied seven first place votes. Northwestern, with 84 points and the two first place votes, is picked second.  Dordt was third in the balloting with 78 points and one first place vote. Red Raiders Host DWU Wednesday Night

Orange City, Iowa — Less than 48 hours after a 3-0 win against Briar Cliff, the Northwestern Volleyball team return to its home court Wednesday night for a match-up against Dakota Wesleyan. First serve is scheduled for 7:30pm. The Raiders have won three consecutive matches and is in third place in the GPAC with a 5-1 record, 7-1 overall; Dakota Wesleyan is in seventh place in the conference at 4-5, 8-5 overall. Read more
