Hull, Iowa — A Sanborn teen struck a Sheldon teen’s vehicle near Hull on Tuesday, May 23rd.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that just before 3:45 pm on Tuesday, 15-year-old Bryan Hoekstra of Sheldon was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion eastbound on Highway 18, two miles east of Hull. Sixteen-year-old Halle Andringa of Sanborn was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix eastbound on Highway 18 behind Hoekstra. According to the report, Hoekstra slowed for a turning vehicle and was struck by Andringa.
The Ford received $3,000 damage. The Pontiac received $5,000 damage.
No injuries were reported.
Andringa was cited with a charge for failing to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
