Sioux Authorities Seek Help In Hit-And-Run

Maurice, Iowa — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in the case of a hit-and-run crash near Maurice.

Authorities say they received the report of the hit-and-run collision at the parrk & ride parking lot near the intersection of Highway 75 and 10, two miles north of Maurice.

Deputies say a black 2015 Nissan Altima, owned by 27-year old Daniel Romero‐Fuentes, of Sioux Center, IA was parked and unattended on the parking lot when another vehicle struck the Nissan and left the area. Aauthorities say the striking vehicle is possibly white in color. This incident happened between 1:15 a.m. and 2:15 a.m. Tuesday morning (October 3rd).

Authorities say the Nissan sustained approximately $2,000 in damage.
