Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon police arrested two individuals on felony charges in separate incidents this week.
On Tuesday afternoon, Sheldon Police say they arrested 48-year old John Wesley Hudson of Sheldon on a felony Parole Violation charge. Authorities say Hudson was picked up at the Third District Residential Treatment Facility on Western Avenue in Sheldon.
Late Wednesday evening, Sheldon Police and an O’Brien County Sheriff’s Deputy report the arrest of 34-year old Joshua Brenon Smitherman of Fairmont, Minnesota on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault, 3rd Offense, which is a Class D felony. Smitherman was arrested in the 900 block of 7th Avenue in Sheldon, and according to the report, was armed with what the report describes as a cutting instrument at the time of his arrest.
