Rock Valley, Iowa — A Rock Valley resident was taken to a hospital after an accident near Rock Valley on Saturday, March 17.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 6:20 p.m., 19-year-old Grant Zevenbergen of Rock Valley was driving a 2003 Buick Regal southbound on Dove Avenue, two miles southwest of Rock Valley when he lost control of the vehicle. It entered the west ditch and struck a ditch embankment.
The Rock Valley Ambulance took Zevenbergen to Hegg Health Center Hospital in Rock Valley.
The Buick only sustained about $100 in damage.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that the Rock Valley Ambulance Squad, the Rock Valley Fire Department, and the Rock Valley Police Department assisted with the response to the accident, which they say remains under investigation.
