Paullina, Iowa– A passenger in a Primghar woman’s vehicle was taken to a hospital after an accident near Paullina on Saturday, December 8, 2018.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 12:20 p.m., 41-year-old Tina Jacobson of Primghar was driving a 2012 Kia southbound on Highway 59, three miles east and a mile and a half north of Paullina. They say 48-year-old Doyle Logan of Primghar was also southbound on 59 in a 2009 Chevrolet pickup.
The report says that Jacobson rear-ended the Logan pickup.
The Sutherland Ambulance took a passenger in the Jacobson vehicle, 70-year-old Lois Barnes of Primghar, to Baum Harmon Mercy Hospital. Jacobson was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.
Jacobson’s Kia sustained about $4000 in damages, and Logan’s Chevrolet pickup sustained about $2000 in damages, according to the report.
It says Jacobson was charged with failure to maintain control.
