Osceola County, Iowa — A Sanborn woman was injured after rolling her van into a ditch near Allendorf late Thursday evening.
Osceola County authorities say that shortly before 11 Thursday night, a 2001 Chrysler Town & Country minivan, driven by 36-year old April Lynn Lauer of Sanborn, was northbound on Highwway 59 near the intersection of 200th Street. Deputies say Lauer lost control of the van due to snow on the roadway, attempted to correct, and the snow pulled the vehicle across the northbound lane into the ditch, where it rolled over, coming to rest on it’s wheels.
Lauer was reportedly transported to the Osceola Community Hospital by the Sibley Ambulance after the crash.
Damage to Lauer’s minivan was estimated at $3500.
