Two Charged After Incident At OC Health Center

orange city alton police oc pd ocpdOrange City, Iowa — Orange City Police were called to the Orange City Area Health System Hospital late Monday night to investigate a case of theft and criminal mischief.

Orange City Police Chief Jim Pottebaum, says security video footage at the hospital showed two individuals stealing money from the wishing fountain, and one was observed urinating in a trash can, and on the floor in the clinic area.

Pottebaum says officers were able to identify the subjects in the video, and upon further investigation, arrested 18-year old Andrew Jasper Orozco of Orange City, along with a juvenile subject.  Orozco was reportedly arrested on charges of 5th Degree Criminal Mischief and 5th Degree Theft, and was booked into the Sioux County Jail.  The juvenile was charged with 5th Degree Theft, and released to a parent, according to Pottebaum.
