Sioux County, Iowa, east of Fairview, SD — Two people were taken to a hospital following an accident in western Sioux County, near Fairview, SD on Monday, February 19th.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that before 10:30 a.m. 22-year-old Mason Laird, of Canton, SD was driving a 2004 Ford Ranger pickup northbound on A54B Boulevard, three miles west of Fairview, when he lost control of the vehicle and it entered the west ditch.
The Canton-Inwood Ambulance took Laird and a passenger, 24-year-old Krista Hevern of Inwood, to the Sanford Canton‐Inwood Medical Center.
The Sheriff’s Office says the Ford sustained about $8,000 in damages.
They say the Fairview Fire Department and the Canton-InwoodAmbulance assisted with the response to the accident.
