Woman Arrested On Felony Drug Charge Near Sibley

Sibley, Iowa — A woman from Sioux City was arrested on a felony drug charge after a traffic stop near Sibley on Friday.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reports that one of their deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 60 near 190th Street, near the Sibley airport. They say the traffic stop resulted in three arrests, including the felony arrest.

The deputy arrested 30-year-old Carolyn Blanche Running of Sioux City and charged her with alleged Possession of Controlled Substance – 3rd Offense a class D felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor, and Open Container.

They also arrested 55-year-old Glenn Evan Dortch of Sioux City and charged him with the alleged Possession of Controlled Substance – 1st Offense, a Serious Misdemeanor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Open Container.

A third passenger in the vehicle, 43-year-old Cornell McBride of Sioux Falls, SD was issued a citation for Open Container.

At last report, Running was being held on a $5,600 bond and Dortch was being held on a $1,600 bond.
