Archer Council Member Expresses Thanks

Archer, Iowa — A solution has been proposed to the Archer Ambulance situation. That service is set to disband, so ambulance services from Sheldon, Sanborn, and Primghar will take over their calls.

But the details of how that’s going to work had been a sticking point. Now, it appears there may be a way to fix that. Richard Ludeke of the Archer City Council presented a proposal at a Sheldon City Council meeting on Wednesday that when an ambulance from one of those communities takes an Archer call, they will get reimbursed from the Archer Ambulance Fund.

He says those working on the issue have come a long way.

According to Ludeke, attorney Micah Schreurs is drafting a 28-E agreement laying out the details.

Ludeke says he appreciates the process that they’ve gone through to get to this point.

He tells us that they appreciate the “Christian love and helping hand up to Archer” that the other communities have provided in this situation.
