Rock Rapids, Iowa — Two people were arrested after a disturbance in Rock Rapids on Friday, May 22nd, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies report that about 5:45 pm, they responded to a disturbance in the 600 block of South Second Avenue East in Rock Rapids. They say 50-year-old Jeff Curry of St. James, Minnesota was arrested and charged with Simple Assault. Thirty-seven-year-old Joyce Johnson of Rock Rapids was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct.
Both were transported to the Lyon County Jail.
The Lyon County Ambulance was also requested at the scene, but medical treatment was refused.
