Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon church welcomed a new pastor about a month ago. Jesse Walhof is pastor of Living Water Community Church, and we had the opportunity to visit with him about his background, and about Living Water Community Church.
Walhof says he attended most of grade school, high school, and college right here in northwest Iowa.
Following college, Walhof says he worked on a South Dakota Ranch for a few months before accepting the invitation of a friend to come to Alaska and work with at-risk kids. Then he says, he attended seminary after God “kicked him in the head” to get his attention.
Walhof told us he was very happy that the position in Sheldon became available.
He describes Living Water Community Church as a church with open arms.
Walhof says the church’s schedule is pretty busy these days.
Living Water Community Church is located at the corner of 2nd Avenue (Business 60) and 7th Street, in the former Joyce’s Food Store building in Sheldon.
