Rock Valley, Iowa — A Rock Valley man has died in a construction accident near Rock Valley.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Saturday, August 27, at 1:19 p.m., they received a report of an accident at a rural home, five and a half miles southeast of Rock Valley. The report was that a man fell from a roof.
Upon further investigation deputies found that 57-year-old Henry Wynia of Rock Valley was assisting with work on the home when he fell from the roof, which was approximately 20 feet above ground.
The Rock Valley Ambulance took Wynia to Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley where, according to the report, he died from his injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office says the Rock Valley Ambulance crew and Rock Valley Police Department assisted at the scene.
