Preliminary Timeline For $18.9 Million HMS Construction Project Laid Out

Hartley, Iowa — After voters passed an $18.9 million bond issue on April 3rd of this year, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn officials have been getting the process in order to make the improvements to the district buildings.

Patrick Carlin recently took over the superintendent reigns from former superintendent Bill Thompson, who retired July 1st. Carlin tells us that it will be a multi-year construction project.


Mr. Carlin tells us about the next steps of the process.


The bond issue for building construction and renovations passed by 65.55%. A 60% supermajority was needed for the issue to pass.
