Rock Valley, Iowa — The annual Rally In The Valley celebration is now underway in Rock Valley!
The event began Wednesday with Crazy Days, with the Ms. Rock Valley Pageant scheduled for Wednesday evening.
Thursday night festivities include Water Fights at the Rock Valley Fire Department, and Donkeyball at the Sports Complex. Both activities are scheduled for 7:00 Thursday evening.
On Friday, the Ice Cream Social And Haitian-made goods fundraiser starts the festivities at 5:30 pm. Cruise Night starts Friday night at 6, with the Ranch Rodeo at the Saddle Club Arena at 7:00. Friday night’s events culminate in the Mud Dogs Street Dance on Main Street beginning at 9:00.
Things start off bright and early Saturday, with the Fireman’s Pancake Breakfast at the Fire Station beginning at 6:30 Saturday morning. The Rock River Run at Rivers Bend Campground starts at 8:00 am. There will also be a car show at the City Park, as well as a Vendor Fair at the Catholic Church. The Rally In The Valley Parade begins at 11:00 Saturday morning on Main Street. They’ll also feature attractions such as the Kiwanis Duck Races, free inflatables and dunk tank, Kids Pedal Pull, Bean Bag Tournament, Wing Eating Contest, and much more.
The 2017 Rally in the Valley will culminate with fireworks at the Sports Complex beginning at 9:20 Saturday night.
Rally In The Valley runs through Saturday, August 12th, in Rock Valley.
