Sanborn, Iowa — The City of Sanborn is advising its residents that they no longer need to boil their water.
Sanborn Water Superintendent Chris Schoeneman says that the city’s water tower was cleaned this week
Schoeneman says there were no issues with the water system; it was just a routine cleaning of the water tower.
When boil orders are in effect, DNR officials say water should be boiled before drinking it or using it to make ice, brush teeth, or prepare food. Of course bottled water is also an option. They say that unless otherwise specified, under a boil order, water may still be used for bathing and other similar purposes.
