Sheldon Man Faces Felony, Two Misdemeanors

sheldon police pd car door logoSheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon man faces one felony and two misdemeanor charges following his arrest earlier this week.

Sheldon police say 19-year old Dylan Monen of Sheldon was wanted on a Probation Violation warrant when he was arrested.  According to authorities, while Monen was on the run from the law he allegedly burglarized Dairy Dandy in Sheldon, stealing $400 from the cash register.

In addition to the misdemeanor Probation Violation charge, Monen faces charges of 2nd Degree Burglary and 4th Degree Theft in connection with the incident at Dairy Dandy.  The 2nd Degree Burglary charge is a felony, while the 4th Degree Theft charged is a serious misdemeanor.

Monen was transported to the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar.
