Sheriff’s Office And Interns Produce Video Series
Date posted - September 4, 2015
Orange City, Iowa — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, with the help of two interns, has completed a public relations video series.
Sheriff Dan Altena says his office worked with the Franken Leadership Center, which is affiliated with Northwestern College in Orange City. The Center also manages the Carlson Internship program, which connects highly-motivated and intellectually-curious students with top internships throughout the country.
Altena tells us how it got started.
He says the two interns, Amber Beyer and Julia Van Dyk, worked closely with the Sheriff and his staff to produce nine public relation and educational videos. He says some of them will show what each department at the sheriff’s office does.
The professional-quality videos will be posted on the Sheriff’s Office YouTube Channel, with links on their Facebook page and website. A new video will be posted every few weeks.
Altena says that the NWC interns “did a fantastic job in creating the videos.” He says they were very pleasant to work with, and their staff really enjoyed the partnership.
Here is the first video in the series — about Sioux County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer, Waylon Pollema.
