Broadcast Doubleheader Preview for Friday September 18th

footballNorthwest Iowa — Week four of the Iowa high school football season brings more district football. Sheldon heads back on the road after a home loss to Okoboji. They’ll face a Cherokee squad that’s off to 3-0 start after a road win at Sioux Center last Friday.

Orab head coach Tyler Lloyd looks for Cherokee to play an aggressive style of ball.

As for the keys to the game Lloyd would like a quick start and ball security this week.

Cherokee head coach Travis Schipper is impressed with the Sheldon offense.

Schipper feels the key to a win is gap responsibility.

LA and the Coach Kent Dezeeuw bring you the coverage on KIWA AM 1550.

On KIWA FM 105.3 Boyden Hull Rock Valley takes a 3-0 record into a home showdown against 2-1 Sergeant Bluff Luton. Last week the Nighthawks posted the road win over Spencer while Sergeant Bluff Luton was earning a road win over Class 4A Sioux City West.

Nighthawks head coach Corey Brandt is impressed with the Warriors scheme.

The coach also talked about the need to be play makers.

Sergeant Bluff Luton head coach Justin Smith is impressed with the Nighthawks passing concepts.

The big keys  tonight come down to the most basic football concepts.

Pregame for both contests begins with the Radio Iowa Scouting Report at 6:05 with kick off at 7:00. We’ll stream both contests from the website at www.kiwaradio.com.
