Dordt To Compete In NAIA Cross Country Championships

The Dordt College women’s cross country team will be competing at the 2017 NAIA National Championship on Saturday, November 18. The women’s race will be run at 1:30 pm (Central).

Dordt sends two men, Adam Daane and Jacob Vander Plaats, to compete in the men’s race which begins at 12:30 pm (Central).

The races will be run at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site.

36 teams and 92 individuals who qualified on their own will make up the 300-plus runner field in the women’s race. The women will run 5,000 meters.  Northwestern along with Michelle Mumm (Morningside), Janelle Bethea (Hastings), Emily Deschaine (Concordia) and Payton Boer (Morningside) all qualified along with Dordt from the GPAC for the competition.

36 teams and 87 individuals will compete in the men’s race.  The men will run 8,000 meters. Northwestern qualified as a team and Jeremiah Panec (Dakota Wesleyan) and Rosten From (Doane) qualified out of the GPAC along with Daane and Vander Plaats.
