Webster City Spoils Nighthawks’ Season

nighthawk logoThe Webster City Lynx defeated the Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley Nighthawks 38-6 at Lynx Field in Webster City Monday night.

Webster City would be the first to score going 80 yards in 6:21. Gavin Dinsdale would finish off the drive from 1 yard out to make the score 7-0 late in the first quarter in favor of the Lynx. Webster City would again score early in the 2nd quarter. Avery Fuhs would find Jordan Moen from 7 yards out to push the score to 14-0 Webster City. Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley would get their only score of the game on a 1 yard Brett Moser QB keeper to get the Nighthawks to within 8. Webster City would respond with a 68 yard drive. Gavin Dinsdale would find the edge from 14 yards out and push the score to 21-6 Lynx, and that would be your halftime score.

To start the 2nd half, Webster City would eat up 6:49 and settle for a field goal from 29 yards out by Landon Daniels. The Lynx would turn a Nighthawk turnover into points late in the third. Payton Kannaun would find a hole and take it 26 yards to the endzone. Late in the 3rd it was 31-6 Lynx. Webster City would score one more time in the game. Gavin Dinsdale would gallop 73 yards to the endzone to make it 38-6, and that would be your final.

Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley ends their season at 8-3.

Webster City improves to 11-0 on the season.
